How to fit your grillz — no dentist, 5 minutes
Every set we sell is a custom-mold grill. It arrives oversized on purpose. You shape it to your own teeth once, and it holds that shape.
What comes in the box
- Your grill (top, bottom, or both)
- Two silicone molding bars
- A carry case
The 5-step mold
- Boil water. Bring a small pot to a rolling boil, then take it off the heat and let it sit 30 seconds. Water that is too hot will warp the bar.
- Soften the silicone bar. Drop one bar in for 30-45 seconds until it goes clear and soft. Fish it out with a spoon.
- Press it into the grill. Roll the bar into a strip and press it firmly into the back channel of the grill, covering the whole length.
- Bite down. Put the grill on your teeth and bite firm and even for 60-90 seconds. Push the silicone up around each tooth with your tongue and fingers so it grips.
- Set it. Take it out and run it under cold water for 30 seconds. Trim any excess silicone with scissors. Done.
If it does not grip right the first time, re-boil the bar and start over. You get more than one shot at it.
Sizing
Our grillz are one-size and fit most adult mouths — the mold is what makes them yours. Six-tooth and eight-tooth sets cover the front teeth; single-tooth caps cover one.
Wearing them safely
- Do not eat or sleep in them. Take them out for meals and before bed, every time.
- Clean them daily. Warm water, a soft toothbrush and non-abrasive soap. No toothpaste and no bleach — both scratch and dull the plating.
- Brush your teeth before you put them in. Trapped food and bacteria under a grill is how people get decay and gum irritation.
- Keep them dry in the case when you are not wearing them.
Materials
Plated pieces are gold or rhodium plating over a solid base. Sterling pieces are stamped 925. Plating wears with time; keeping them clean and dry makes them last.
Grillz are a cosmetic accessory, not a dental appliance. If you have dental work, braces, or any concern about your teeth or gums, check with your dentist before wearing them. Stop wearing them if you notice pain or irritation.
Returns
Because grillz are molded to your mouth, we can only accept returns on unmolded, unused sets in the original packaging within 30 days. Wrong item or damaged on arrival is always replaced free — just message us.
